These beauties are huge !  Originally they were used as commercial mixing bowls for dough - thats a lot of bread.  From the 20th Century they have faired well acquiring a huge amount of patina.  They are cast iron and painted white on the outside which is now fabulously chipped and flaking.
 
To preserve the look of these, we would recommend treating with a tough outdoor clear lacquer and lining before planting.
 
Each bowl has small metal pins on the bottom so they are slightly raised from the ground so they look like they are slightly floating - adding most definately to their appeal.
 
Although large, they are fairly easy to manoeurve to their desired position before filling.
