Such a beautiful shape and full of texture.
 
Probably late 19th Century or early 20th Century and originally used as a foraging basket, hence the handles either side where you would hold it on your hips with one hand and collect with the other.  
 
Large in scale and perfect for displaying items at home or for beautiful storage.  Farmhouse wabisabi style.
